Fillers are a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration.
Juvederm is a type of filler that is commonly used to smooth out wrinkles and fine lines on the face. It is made from hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the body, making it safe for use. Juvederm can also add volume to areas of the face such as the cheeks and lips, giving a more youthful appearance. The effects of Juvederm can last up to one year, making it a popular choice for those looking for longer lasting results.
Vollure is another type of filler that is also made from hyaluronic acid. It is specifically designed to target moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (smile lines) and marionette lines. Vollure has been shown to last up to 18 months, making it a good option for those looking for longer term results.
Radiesse is a unique type of filler as it not only adds volume but also stimulates the body's own collagen production. This can lead to long lasting results, with some patients seeing improvements for up to two years. Radiesse is primarily used to treat deeper wrinkles and folds, as well as adding volume to areas such as the cheeks and chin.
Versa is a newer type of filler that has gained popularity in recent years. It is also made from hyaluronic acid but uses a unique manufacturing process that results in smaller, smoother particles. This allows for more even distribution of the filler, resulting in natural-looking results. Versa can be used to treat a variety of areas such as wrinkles, fine lines, and volume loss in the face.
When filler is injected into your skin, hyaluronic acid (HA) is restored, adding volume to smooth away facial wrinkles and folds. This leads to very natural looking and natural feeling results. “Everyone will notice but no one will know”.
Depending upon what areas you are having treated and how sensitive they might be, our staff can also offer additional anesthetic options, such as topical lidocaine cream or a dental block. We will make your experience a comfortable one.
The FDA approved locations for fillers include the naso-labial folds (the lines from the outside of your nose to the corners of your mouth) and the lips. It is also commonly used in areas such as the temples, the hollows under the eyes and the frown lines under the mouth.
It is important to discontinue the use of ibuprofen (such as Advil or Motrin) for 72 hours before your appointment. Do not take aspirin for one week before your appointment, unless you are taking it for a medical reason. If you are on blood-thinning medications, let the staff know before your appointment.
You may return to normal activities immediately after a dermal fillers injection. However, you may not apply heavy pressure to the injected area for 4 hours. If you received a dental block, you may not want to plan on eating or drinking much for a few hours until the block wears off. You will be asked to apply ice to the injected area for the first 24 hours after the injection in order to minimize the risk of bruising.
